The label looks like something you might pick up in a Saint‑Tropez beach shop, but the wine inside is far more serious than the pastel packaging suggests. In the glass, you meet a rosé that is pale, clean and surprisingly aromatic — as if the fruit has caught a touch of morning sun without losing its freshness. Everything feels effortless, and that ease is exactly what makes The Beach so charming: juicy, fruity and fresh in a way that lets your shoulders drop just a little.
It is perfect for anyone who loves rosé that can be enjoyed on its own yet still follow light dishes without dominating. It works beautifully with salads, fish, shellfish and terrace food, where itsclean fruit and cool acidity can stand clearly. If you are looking for a deep, complex rosé, this is not the bottle — but if you want a wine that delivers pure summer atmosphere without slipping into simplicity, it reaches a very high level.
The aroma brings strawberry, raspberry and citrus, followed by a soft peach note that adds a gentle warmth. The palate is light and fresh, with red fruit up front and acidity that lifts withoutpoking. The colour is delicate and transparent, and the mouthfeel is smooth and clean, like the first sip of something cold on a warm day.
Provence is known for its sandy and limestone‑rich soils, and the combination of sand, chalk and clay gives its rosés their signature lightness and bright expression. The climate is sunny, but the nights are cool enough to preserve freshness — the balance that makes the region one of the world’s most reliable sources of rosé. The landscape is open and bright, and you can almost sense the warmth of the pale stones in the wine’s fruit profile.
Chateau d’Esclans is one of the most recognisable names in Provence, and even their more accessible wines carry the same precision that made Whispering Angel a global phenomenon. The Beach is designed to be light, clean and immediate, yet still with enough quality to linger in the memory after the first glass.
Cinsault, Grenache and Syrah are classic Provence rosé grapes. Cinsault brings lightness and red fruit, Grenache adds warmth and juiciness, and Syrah contributes colour and a touch of spice. Together they create a rosé that is fresh and fruity without becoming heavy or sweet.
The production follows the modern Provence style: a mix of manual and mechanical harvesting, direct pressing and cold fermentation in steel. Cold fermentation preserves delicate aromas, whilestainless steel keeps the expression clean and precise. It is a technique that highlights the fruit and maintains the light, elegant style that makes The Beach so easy to enjoy.
The wine is best within one to two years, when its fruit and freshness are at their brightest. It is made for spring and summer, but its clean style makes it suitable for the lighter months on eitherside of the season as well.
The Beach 2025 delivers exactly what you hope for: lightness, charm and a wonderfully pure fruit profile — a rosé that feels like summer without trying too hard.
