Submitting wine or spirits for review on Flaskehalsen is open to everyone in the trade. The purpose is simple: to give Danish consumers an honest, independent and understandable assessment of the bottles available on the Danish market. Reviews are written freely and without commercialinfluence, and every product is evaluated using the same criteria.
To ensure a fair and accurate assessment, two samples of each product are required. All wines and spirits are evaluated on the 100‑point scale and receive 0–6 stars, where the stars always reflect the product’s value in relation to its price on the Danish market.

Products that achieve at least 93 points will always receive a full, in‑depth review. The same applies to products awarded five or six stars, as theyrepresent particularly strong quality for the price. All other products will be published with a short assessment and a precise rating.
If a retailer or importer wishes to submit a broader selection from the same producer, these can — by agreement — be included in a longer, combinedarticle that looks at the producer’s style, quality and overall range. If that sounds relevant, simply reach out via the contact details below.
Even if a product is submitted for a specific theme, the highest‑rated bottles may also appear in other relevant themes, such as grape variety, region or wine style. As a general rule, products may appear on lists for up to a year unless they sell out at the retailer.
Products that do not fit into a current theme will be included in the next monthly roundup of mixed wines, ensuring that nothing is overlooked.
Products submitted without meeting the guidelines above — and without prior agreement — will generally not be featured. This ensures a fair and consistent process for all retailers and importers.
